I find that photographing children's performing arts is a really unique and rewarding experience. I think it requires a different approach than other types of photography as it often involves capturing the energy, innocence and expression of children. I am aware that children may not be as used to being in front of the camera as adults and can require a different approach to capturing those unique moments.
Children's performing arts requires patients and flexibility. Children may not be as well-rehearsed or as comfortable performing as adults, so I find it is important to be prepared to work with them and to be patient while they get used to the camera.
I use my post-processing and editing techniques to enhance the final images and to bring out the best in the children's performances.
